Amy E. (Schreiber) Wilson, 47, of Solon passed away Thursday, Dec. 13, surrounded by her loving family members.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Iowa City with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cedar County, Iowa. Visitation will be held Sunday, Dec. 16, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Gay & Ciha Funeral Service with a rosary beginning at 4 p.m.

Amy was born Aug. 24, 1971, in Iowa City to George A. and Regina (Driscoll) Schreiber. She graduated from West High School in 1989. She received her associate of science degree from Kirkwood Community College in 1991 for architectural design and 1995 for interior design. In 1994, while working for Payless Cashways Inc., she meet her best friend and life companion. On June 14, 1997, Amy married Christopher A. Wilson at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Iowa City. After getting married, the couple resided in Williamsburg, Iowa, for 7 years and then Solon, Iowa, for the past 14 years.

She was employed by the University of Iowa for the past 20 years as a clerk in parking and transportation, accounts payable and accountant for the MBA program in the Tippie College of Business. She enjoyed spending time with family, watching her daughter participating in school activities and sporting events, playing any type of electronic/card/dice/board games. She especially loved playing sudoku and spending time with her office mates. She enjoyed attending Iowa women's basketball games and watching Iowa football games. She was a faithful member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She also had the unique ability to recite verbatim quotes from all her favorite movies and TV shows.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Chris; their daughter, Mary; her parents, George and Regina Schreiber of Solon, Iowa; brother, Tony (Deb) Schreiber of Iowa City, Iowa; father/mother-in-law, Robert (Marcia) Wilson of Marion, Ind.; brother-in-law, Keith (Lora) Wilson of Moorland, Ind.; brother-in-law, Eric (Marnie) Andrew of Hamburg, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Michelle (Bob) Van Gerven of Salem, Va.; nieces and nephews, Thomas Schreiber, Garrett (Sydney) Wilson, Jacob Schreiber, Nicholas Schreiber, Katie Wilson, Matthew Andrew, Grace Van Gerven, Jacob Andrew and Kees Van Gerven; and all the Driscoll family and Schreiber family cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Diana Wilson; maternal grandparents, James and Agnes Driscoll; paternal grandparents, George and Florence Schreiber; maternal stepgrandpa, Galo Stroppel; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Amy and her family want to thank Father Beckman for his many blessings and support, as well as Sister Theresa Kruml, her oncologist Dr. Mo and all of his outstanding support team, and all the nurses at UIHC and Iowa City Hospice for their loving care. Also thanks to all the friends and relatives who have prayed for and visited her during her illness.
