Graveside services for Mary K. Race, 57, Marengo, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Bishop Cemetery, rural Marengo. She died Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at Compass Memorial Hospital, Marengo.

The Rev. Eddie Thomas will officiate at the service.

A memorial fund has been established.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo.

Mary Race was born Nov. 11, 1960, in Iowa City, the daughter of Robert and Rose Starkweather Frondle. She graduated from West High School in 1980. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, and loved to watch sports on TV. She enjoyed embroidery, knitting, collecting unicorns, Christmas decorations and angels and especially loved family get togethers.

Race is survived by her mother, Rose Frondle; three siblings Nancy (Dan) Yerington, Wilton; Robert Frondle, Williamsburg, and Sally Frondle, Marengo.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert, and a brother, David, both in 1999.
