I.E. Matthew Dies At Home in Oskaloosa
Isaac Emmer Matthew, 53 years old Oskaloosa lumber dealer and general manager of the Ideal Lumber company, operating yards in Oskaloosa and Rose Hill, died at his home at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning, following a heart attach Tuesday afternoon, from which he had rallied and apparently was recovering. Mr. Matthew had been in poor health for several years, but his condition had not been regarded as serious.
Mr. Matthew was born at Columbia, In Marion County, south of Knoxville, November 7, 1878 and resided at Williamsburg, Marengo, and Delta before going to Oskaloosa.
Funeral Services were held at the First Christian Church at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Interment was made in the Oskaloosa cemetery.
His wife was formerly Blanche Mahannah, youngest sister of the late C.D. Mahannah of this place.
