On Sept. 7, 2018, Roger Curt Hawkins passed away peacefully at his home in Koszta, IA. He was surrounded by friends and loved ones.

Roger loved tractor pulls, drag racing classic cars, and his country.

He is survived by his wife Rusti, daughters Rhonda (Jason) Hoyt, Beth (Tim) Cheney, sister, Rosemary (Roger) Marquardt, brother Russ Hawkins, grandchildren Jaden, Owen, Kylie, Brayen, Addy, and Cadie, many nieces and nephews and well as great-nieces and nephews, and his beloved pets.

He was preceded in death by parents Lorna Mae and Robert Hawkins, brothers Bill and Bob Hawkins, and nephew Charlie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the family.

Marengo - Roger C. Hawkins, 60, of Marengo passed away peacefully September 7, 2018 in his home surrounded by loved ones. Survivors include: his wife Rusti Hawkins Marengo; two daughters, Rhonda (Jason) Hoyt, grandsons Jaden and Owen, granddaughter, Kylee of Elberon; Bethany (Tim) Cheney, grandson Brayen and granddaughters Adalynn and Cadence of Victor; sister Rosemary (Roger) Marquardt of Marengo; and brother Russel Hawkins Marengo; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Roger was born on February 5, 1958 in Iowa City. Roger thoroughly enjoyed drag racing, especially John Force, the Iowa Hawkeyes, animals, tractor pulls, classic cars and socializing. Roger will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, uncle and friend to all who knew and loved him. He was proceeded into death by his parents, brothers Bob and Bill Hawkins and nephew Charlie Noyes.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his honor to his family.
