AGED MOTHER PASSES AWAY IN HER HOME
Mrs. Trimpe Born In Germany In 1863
Came To America At Age Of Eleven

Last rites were held in St. Paul's Lutheran church Monday afternoon for Anna Maria Trimpe. The Rev. Enno Schuelke officiated. The male choir of the church sang "Be Still My Soul." Burial was in St. John's cemetery, Homestead. Pallbearers were Paul Trimpe, Arnold Trimpe, George Trimpe, Erwin Achterberg, Carl Gardner and John Bruzek.

Mrs. Trimpe was the daughter of Matthias and Christine Roth. She was born July 24, 1863 at Dundenheim, Bavaria, Germany. Her death took place in her home at Williamsburg Friday afternoon. She had been bedfast since the 23rd of February of the present year.

She came to America at the age of eleven and in the year of coming, which was 1874, her parents took up their home in South Amana. She received her schooling in St. John's Lutheran School at Homestead.

She had been baptized in Germany and in 1877, she was confirmed in St. John's church. She was married to George Trimpe at Homestead in 1885. Her husband passed away in 1926 at Williamsburg. The Trimpe home had been in this city since 1921. In the year that Mr. and Mrs. Trimpe moved into Williamsburg, they became members of St. Paul's Lutheran church.

Mrs. Trimpe is survived by a brother William Roth who resides at West Point, Nebraska and by all her seven children and by 26 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Her sons and daughters are Otto of Homestead, Johanna (Mrs. Ahrens) of South Amana, William of Marengo, Martha (Mrs. Baack) of South Amana, Christine (Mrs. M. Heitshusen) of Williamsburg, John of Homestead, Ella (Mrs. Sandersfeld) of Homestead.
