Memorial Mass for A. Dolores “Dolly” Klosky, 93, Centreville, Md., will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, at St. Anthony Shrine, 16150 St. Anthony Road, Emmitsburg, Md. She died peacefully Feb. 18, 2018.

A. Dolores “Dolly” Klosky was born Nov. 18, 1924, in Williamsburg, the daughter of the late J. Carl Rush and Bernadette O’Meara Rush. She grew up in Iowa, helping on the family farm.

She married a member of the US Armed Forces, had two children and then divorced.

In 1981, she married Peter Klosky and moved to Fulton, Md. She worked for the Department of Defense as a telemetry analyst, retiring after over 20 years of service. She spent her time in both Emmitsburg, Md., and Anna Maria Island, Fla., before moving to Centreville in 2005 to be closer to her family.

She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Emmitsburg; St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Bradenton, Fla., and Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Centreville. She served as a eucharistic minister in the church. She loved her orchards, and enjoyed spending time gardening, swimming, playing bridge, hosting parties and solving puzzles and Sudokus.

Dolly is survived by her husband, Peter Klosky; her children, Nancy Ermenidis, Johnathan Wiebold, Sara Klosky, Peter Klosky Jr., Rea Maria Klosky Giner-Sorolla, James Ledlie Klosky, Kathryn Klosky Howlett, Stephen Klosky, Matthew Klosky and Anne Klosky Arpa; a brother, Eugene Rush; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Rita Rush Miller and Joseph Rush.

A memorial mass will be held at 11 am on Friday, February 23 at St. Anthony Shrine, 16150 St. Anthony Road, Emmitsburg, MD.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of the Lenten season, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army.
