(August 27, 1945 - October 21, 2017)

Richard Lee Icenbice, 72, of rural Deep River, Iowa passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at his rural Deep River Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the
Christian Church in Deep River, Iowa at 10:30 am.

Burial will be held in the Golden Rod Cemetery in Deep River. Visitation will be held on Monday,October 23, 2017 beginning at 1:00 pm with the family present from 5:00 pm to
7:00 pm at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma.

Memorials may be designated in the family's name. Holland-Coble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Richard Lee Icenbice was born on August 27, 1945 to Kenneth and Evelyn Bruns Icenbice of Deep River. He grew up on the family farm and had three siblings. He graduated from Deep River Millersburg in 1963. Richard attended and graduated from mechanic's school in Kansas City. He then married Pat Carver on May 16, 1965 at the Lutheran Church in Deep River.

Richard farmed the family farm east of Deep River with his grandfather until he passed away and Richard continued the farming operation. Richard and Pat became the parents of two children, Keith and Nancy. He also worked for Widmer DX until the 1980's and then began working for Jim Elwood Implement retiring in 2010.

Richard loved his family and attended all of his children's and grandchildren's ballgames and activities. He was a true Hawkeye fan and enjoyed being with his great granddaughter, Bexlee. He was a member of the Deep River Christian Church.

Richard is survived by his wife of 52 years Pat; his children Keith (Joni) Icenbice of Deep River, Nancy (Tom) Voss of North English; his grandchildren Jorie (Colton) Altenhofen, Zachary (friend Bri Goldman)Voss, Rylee (friend Bryant Sutfin) Voss and Tanner (fiancé Abby Westhoff)Icenbice; great granddaughter Bexlee Altenhofen; his sister Alana Meyer of Deep River, his brother Kenny (Cheryl) Icenbice of Virginia Beach, Virginia, his sister-in-law Linda Icenbice of Greenfield; as well as many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Larry Icenbice, hisbrother-in-law Denny Meyer, and his niece Danielle Meyer.
