Memorial services for Clyde Danskin 74,rural Marengo, will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday Oct 9, at Trinity United Church of Christ, rural Marengo. He died Sunday 9 Oct 1993 at his home. The body was cremated and will be interred in Scottsdale, AZ, at a later date.
Clyde Milton Danskin was born Oct 19, 1918 in Marengo, the son of Ralph and Frieda Schumann Danskin. He attended rural Iowa County schools and attended AIB Business College in Des Moines.
He served in the Army during WWII from Nov 25, 1942, to April 9, 1946.
He married Joyce Burm June 27, 1941 in Chicago, IL. He was a farmer, having retired 11 years ago.
He was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ and the Wandling-Wendall Post 76 American Legion. He enjoyed golf, bowling and baseball.
Danskin is survived by his wife; one son Dann Danskin, Scottsdale, AZ; special friends Harlon and Karen Dehning, Marengo; one granddaughter, Karen and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenneth, June 16, 1992.
