Carl A. Danskin Area Farmer, Died Saturday
Funeral services were Monday 1:30 Pm at Hoover-Valentine Funeral Home for Carl A. Danskin, 68, route 2, who died at University Hospital Saturday of cardiac arrest where he had been a patient for the past two days.
Mr Danskin was born on Jan 28, 1898, the son of George W. and Edith Bigger Danskin in Marengo. He received his education in the rural schools of Iowa Co. and later in the Marengo schools. he farmed all his life, moving from Marengo to the farm at the age of 4. He retired three years ago. He married Marie Huff Oct 19, 1921 at Waterloo.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Bill Danskin of Marengo and Don Danskin of Vinton, one daughter, Mrs Shirley White of Ankeny; one brother, Ralph Danskin of Marengo and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were Clyde, Kenneth, Eugene, Frank Danskin, Howard Frimml and Duane Huff. Interment in the Ladora Cemetery.
