Services Held For Ralph Danskin, 76
Funeral services for Ralph Danskin, 76, were Tuesday at 1:30 PM at the Hoover-Valentine funeral home. He died at Marengo Memorial Hospital early Sunday morning. He had been in failing health for five years.
The Rev. Stanley C. Kennedy First United Methodist church, officiated at the service. pallbearers were Bill, Eugene, Frank and Don Danskin, John Arp, and Russell Freeze. Mrs Dean Rodgers was the organist. Interment was in the Ladora Cemetery.
Danskin was born Sept 22, 1893, the son of George and Edith Bigger Danskin of Marengo. He received his education in the Marengo and rural Iowa county schools. He had been a lifelong resident of the Marengo area. He was affliated with the Methodist church. He farmed until he retired in 1947.
He is survived by his wife, Frieda and two sons, Kenneth and Clyde both of Marengo and one grandson, Daniel. He was preceded in death by six brothers.
