Funeral services for Amy R. Richard, 37, Marengo, formerly of Wayland, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, rural Wayland. She died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017, from injuries from a car accident.

The Rev. Nathan Luitjens and the Rev. Bob Hartzler will officiate at the service.

Burial will follow in the Sugar Creek Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to her daughter.

Amy Rene Richard was born Nov. 26, 1979, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Larry and Mary Jo Manning Richard. She graduated from Waco High School in 1998 and went on to graduate from Mercy St. Luke’s College. She was an X-ray tech at Marengo Memorial Hospital.

She had a smile that would light up any room she went in to, was a friend to all and loved life to the fullest. She enjoyed playing volleyball and was on the Amana Volleyball Team. She was baptized and raised in the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. Katelyn was the love of her life.

Richard is survived by her daughter Katelyn Richard, Marengo; her mother, Mary Jo Richard, Wayland, and her sisters, Michelle (John) Danker, Wayland, and Denise (Brian) Baldosier, Germanville; her grandmother, Beaulah Manning, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, and her boyfriend Jesse.

She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, an uncle, Dean Richard, and a cousin, Mat Manning.
