Celebration of life service for Pauline Wetjen, 90, Williamsburg, will be held at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, July 9, at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Williamsburg. She died Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Highland Ridge Care Center, Williamsburg.

Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, L.I.S. or Highland Ridge Activity Fund.

Pauline Ameilia Gesena Wetjen was born April 1, 1927, in Williamsburg, the daughter of Ernest and Emma (Doehrmann) Glandorf. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School.

She married Eldon Wetjen on Oct. 24, 1948, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. They lived on the farm east of Williamsburg until moving to Highland Ridge. Pauline helped on the farm and raised their five sons. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and took weekly church tapes to the Amana nursing home for 22 years.

She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, baking and quilting, but her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Wetjen is survived by four sons, Dennis (Karen) Wetjen, La Mesa, Calif.; Ken (Art Herrera) Wetjen, Cathedral City, Calif.; Garth (Sheri) Wetjen, Williamsburg, and Doug (Sue) Wetjen, Brookfield, Wis.; 10 grandchildren, Josh (Tessa) Wetjen, Bethany (David) Allen, Ross (Rachel Kember) Wetjen, Brad Wetjen, Felicia Stahl, Kyle (Casey) Wetjen, Lee (Lindsey) Wetjen, Jacob Wetjen, Kimberly Wetjen and Nathan Wetjen; 10 great-grandchildren, Cora, Samuel, Norah, Johanna, Brendt, Bryson, Eli, Kaden, Braylon and Grady, and three great-great-grandchildren, Cael, Emma and Penelope, and a brother, Norman (Marjean) Glandorf, Williamsburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sarah Wetjen, and a brother, Mervin Glandorf.
