Anita Dubisher was born April 29, 1923, in Iowa County, the daughter of Henry and Martha (Huedepohl) Madoerin.

She worked at Ford’s Shoes for over 40 years and enjoyed her activities at Trinity Lutheran, also card playing with friends (especially sheepshead), baking cinnamon rolls, taking care of her flowers and the time she could spend with her grandkids.

A big thanks to Carol and Ernie Rigel, Denny and Connie Martinson, Wally and Dorothy Schueler, Irene Osborn and Shirley Schulte for the frequent visits over the years. Also thanks to the Unity Point Hospice Staff, Evergreen Estates III Staff, the Trinity ladies who visited her regularly and also Pastor Renfro, Pastor Horne and Larry Accord for attending to her spiritual needs.

During her last year, Anita’s personality shined. She wormed her way into everyone’s heart with her charming, although sometimes cantankerous demeanor.

Dubisher is survived by her dog, Bug; daughter, Marilyn Hopcus, Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Jason Hopcus, Jordan Hopcus, Angie Dubisher, Heather (James) Evanoff, Ryan (Joanna) Dubisher, Laura(Travis) Kear and Jason (Debbie) Burianek; great-grandchildren, Brenden, Justin, Keemo, Courtney, Conrad, Savannah and Jason Drew Burianek; sister-in-law, Stella Esther Madoerin, and many nieces and nephews.

She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Winston, for 70 years, and a proud mother of Gary who passed in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Erich Madoerin; sister, Esther Davies, and her attack cat, Tucker
