Celebration of life service for Larry Mullnix, 78, Williamsburg, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 3, at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Williamsburg. He died Thursday, March 30, 2017, at his home.

The Rev. Richard Meyer will officiate at the service.

Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 2, at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg.

A general memorial has been established.

Larry Mullnix was born Sept. 10, 1938, near Williamsburg, the son of Harold and Lora (Pundt) Mullnix. He graduated from Williamsburg High School.

He married Marjorie A. Gibson on Oct. 28, 1972, at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Williamsburg.

He lived in the Williamsburg community all of his life. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He worked for the Amana Feed Mill, Homestead, for 20 years, then drove bus for the Williamsburg Community School District for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching baseball and basketball games and going to McDonalds to visit with friends.

Mullnix is survived by his wife, Marjorie; two sons, Douglas (Tina) Mullnix, Williamsburg, and Brian (Karen) Mullnix, Conroy; five grandchildren, Hope and Shane Mullnix, Shelby and Jackson Mullnix and Tyler Long, and his mother-in-law, Gertrude Gibson, Williamsburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gerald Mullnix, and father-in-law, Roy (Hoot) Gibson.
