Jeannie L. Roop, age 61, of Ollie, died Friday, February 24, 2017, at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Powell Funeral Home in Sigourney, with Rev. Dirk Alspach officiating.

Burial will be at Van Orsdall Cemetery in rural Ollie. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the funeral home.

A general memorial fund has been established. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Sigourney is caring for Jeannie and her family. Tributes may be made at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.

Jeannie was born January 24, 1956, in Iowa City, to Jim and Jacqueline (Miller) Litwiller and graduated from Mid Prairie High School in 1974. On July 13, 1974, she married Rick Pfannebecker in Wellman. Following marriage they lived in Wellman for several years before moving to North English.

Jeannie and Rick divorced and she married Jon Roop on January 6, 2006, at the Ollie Baptist Church. They made their home in rural Ollie.

Jeannie was a waitress at White House in Sigourney for several years and most recently worked at Carroll Distributing in Ottumwa.

She attended the First Pentecostal Church in Ottumwa and enjoyed scrapbooking, family history, cooking, baking, Cheetos and Diet Coke and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband: Jon Roop of Ollie; three sons: Michael (Katie) Pfannebecker of Ankeny and children Espen and Aiden, Nicholas Pfannebecker of North English and daughter Jaden and Derrick Pfannebecker of Ottumwa and daughter Annabelle; four step children: Becky (Dan) Tompkins of Davenport, Rhonda (John) Francis of Yuma, Arizona, Beth (John) Gent of Webster and Joe (Nancy) Roop of Ollie; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren and sister: Jaynie (Robert “Sonny”) Bontrager of Wellman.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Jimmy Litwiller.
