Funeral service for Larry Morrow, 78, rural Victor, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Victor. He died Monday morning, Feb. 20, 2017, surrounded by his family at home.

Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Larry Morrow Memorial Fund.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 22 at St. John's Lutheran Church.

Larry Lee Morrow was born April 16, 1938, the son of Lee Morrow and Edith (Roland) Mouchka in Montezuma. He attended Newton and Barnes City Schools before graduating from Deep River in 1956.

On January 26, 1958, he married Patricia Hinrichs at St. John's Lutheran Church. To this union, four children were born: Scotty, Tammy, Wesley and Kandi. He worked for Wemers, Barnes City Elevator and farmed. He farmed in the Deep River and Victor area for 59 years and also worked for Morrow Construction from 1993 to 2010.

Larry was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and was instrumental in his children and grandchildren attending parochial school. He enjoyed camping, riding horses, mushroom hunting and above all playing cards, especially Euchre and Huck-a-Buck. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed his yearly hunts with his hunting buddies. Larry was a charter member of the Deep River Saddle Club and the Farm Bureau. He served as a Lincoln Township Trustee and was a faithful member of the St. John's Lutheran Church where he served as a trustee.

Morrow is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Morrow, rural Victor; his children, Scotty (Carol) Morrow, Deep River; Tammy (Kevin) Dietrich, Walford; Wesley (Teresa) Morrow, Parnell, and Kandi Gensley, South Amana; 11 grandchildren, Ben (Erin), Jamie, Jacque (Luke), Dustin (AnnaMarie), Clinton (Beth), Preston, Colin, Kelsi, Kodi, Kammie and Kortni; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Donna (Robert) Gorsuch, Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Lona Bell; a brother-in-law, Garth (Judy) Hinrichs, and many other relatives and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Betty Mouchka and Shirley Hall, and a close friend, Lou Wheeler.
