Harold J. Reihman, age 87 of Richmond, Indiana, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in Richmond. Graveside Service: 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2016, South Amana Cemetery, South Amana, Iowa with Elder Kristie Yoder officiating. There will be no visitation. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, Iowa is assisting with local arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Friends Fellowship Community Endowment Fund, 2030 Chester Boulevard, Richmond, IN 47374.

Survivors include his children, Dana (Eileen Cravens, M.D.) Reihman, M.D. of Richmond, Sheryl (Dave) Schrock of Cohasset, Minnesota, and David W. (Melanie) Reihman of Cincinnati, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Katie Reihman of Los Angeles, California, Anne Reihman of Durham, North Carolina, Stephanie Reihman of Phoenix, Arizona, Somer, Emiko, and Hanako Schrock, all of Cohasset, Minnesota, and Nick (Erin) Reihman and Carli (Jay Johnson) Reihman, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Makenzie Johnson; a sister, Cornelia Hess of Waterloo, Iowa; and nephews Richard Hergert, Lynn Hess, and Darrell Hess .

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Shirley H. [Shoup] Reihman, a sister, Emmy Hergert, and a nephew Don Hess.

Harold Reihman was born in Amana, Iowa, on November 22, 1928, to Jacob and Helen [Jung] Reihman. He was a graduate of Amana High School. Harold graduated from Iowa State with a degree in engineering. He served two years in the U.S. Air Force with the Strategic Air Command. Harold worked at Amana Refrigeration in Iowa until 1968, when he moved to Connersville, Indiana, for a management position with Philco, which became Philco Ford, which became Visteon. He was plant manager at Visteon for many years, where he was well thought of by all who worked there for his strategy of 'management by walking around'. Harold walked the plant floor every morning, interacting with the employees. Harold and Shirley were prominent and active members of the Connersville community for many years.
