Celebration of life service for Vivian E. Hinrichs, 92, Williamsburg, was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Conroy. She passed away Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016, at the Highland Ridge Care Center, Williamsburg.

The Rev. Gary Sears officiated at the service.

Burial was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Lutheran Interparish School (LIS) or Highland Ridge Care Center.

Vivian Elizabeth Hinrichs was born March 19, 1924, near Conroy, the daughter of Gottfried “Friedel” Herman and Elizabeth Marie (Borlin) Furler. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Conroy. She graduated in 1942 from Hilton Consolidated School in Conroy.

She married Reinhold “Reiny” Henry Hinrichs on Oct. 26, 1944, at Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper. She had worked at Collins Radio, Seven Villages, Grant Ford Garage, Jim Elwood Implement and Ben Franklin. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Conroy where she was active in Ladies Guild and Altar Guild. Vivian enjoyed sewing clothes for her daughters, playing cards, flower gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Hinrichs is survived by four children, Marilyn Harrington, Leesburg, Va.; Char Les (Gary) Stohlmann, Woodbury, Minn.; Susan (Eldon) Collingwood, Swisher, and Rosemary Fetzer, Williamsburg; eight grandchildren, Rachel (Parham) Kassaie, Paul Harrington, Abbie (Christian) Richer, Allison Stohlmann, Emily Collingwood, Joshua (Laura) Collingwood, Olivia (Adam) Hocker, and Nicholas (Jennifer) Fetzer; 10 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Wilfred (Dorothy) Furler, Williamsburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, an infant brother; a sister, Doris Weiss; a son-in-law, Donald Fetzer, and a beloved aunt, Anna Furler Stanerson.
