Conrad Lee “Connie” Hahn, 91, Marengo, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Marengo, with the Rev. Andrew Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Marengo Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, at St. John’s Lutheran.

Mr. Hahn died Wednesday, Aug. 24, St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids.

Conrad Lee Hahn was born Feb. 1, 1925 in North English, the son of Clarence Hahn and Jessie Cheney Hahn. He attended the North English schools and graduated from Marengo High School in 1942. He married Ruth Schumacher Oct. 7, 1950, at Ruth’s parents’ home. He was employed at Swift and Company for a time, and then became a meter reader for Iowa Electric Light and Power for 37 years.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, the Marengo Fish and Game Club, and the Isaac Walton League. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, and enjoyed bowling and fishing. Most of all he cherished his time spent with his family.

Connie is survived by his wife, Ruth; two sons, Ned, Anchorage, Alaska, and Marty (Tara), New Prague, Minn.; a daughter Joni (Leon) Heitman, Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren, Annette Fugitt, Danielle Bowman, Christine Homan, Bridger Hahn, Karly Hahn, Kent Heitman, and Abby Heitman; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Beverly Roggentien, Marengo. He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant brother.
