Cheryl Ann Becker, 61, of Amana, the daughter of Edward and Dorothy Christians Snell, was born July 19, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. After a courageous three-year battle with cancer, she joined her husband, Jeffery, in heaven on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Clover Ridge United Methodist Church in Walford, where a visitation will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial: Fairfax Cemetery in Fairfax. The Rev. Mike Townsley will officiate. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, Cedar Rapids, is in charge of arrangements.

Cheryl attended Walford Consolidated School and later attended and graduated from Norway High School in 1973. She married Jeffery Becker on March 6, 1982, in Walford. She moved with Jeff throughout his military career until moving to Norway upon retirement. She played the piano for Walford United Methodist Church and Clover Ridge United Methodist Church. She worked many places over the years.

She loved to read, found a hobby in stained glass and cooking, gardening and enjoyed watching old shows and cooking shows.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffery; her father, Edward; and grandparents, Charles and Mary Snell and Helen Michaelson.

Survivors include her children, Tamara (Casey) Frame of Amana, Stephanie (Terry) Elston of Colorado, Christina (Kyle) Nelson of Exira and Jessica Becker of Amana; her mother, Dorothy Snell of Fairfax; her grandchildren, Madison and Braxton Frame, Trevor, Alexandria, Hayden and Payton Elston, Aubrey, Brenna, Carter and Dax Nelson and Corbin Becker. Also surviving are dear friends, Karolee and Leon Mell of Norway.

Cheryl will be remembered as a proud and loving wife, mother, daughter and friend. She will be missed greatly.
