LOCATION: Ames and formerly of Victor, Iowa

Michael was born on August 26, 1965, in Marengo, Iowa to Vern and Joanne Webb Glotfelty. He was raised in Victor and graduated from HLV High School with the Class of 1984. Following his education he lived in Cedar Rapids, Chicago and Colorado before moving back to the Ames area. For the past several years he worked at Cyclone Liquors in Ames.

Michael was an avid fan of the Iowa State Cyclones and cherished times when he could attend sporting events with family at Jack Trice Stadium and Hilton Coliseum. He was a long time member of the Iowa State Cyclone Club as well. Family was very important to Michael and he enjoyed spending time with his children and family members.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Glotfelty of Story City, IA; his father, Vern Glotfelty of Brooklyn; two children, Jazzmin Glotfelty of Ames, IA and Tylar Mark Glotfelty of Story City, IA; four sisters, Deb (Dan) Davis of Colorado Springs, CO, Tammy (Dennis) Hull of Cedar Rapids, IA , Chris (Damon) Daniels of Huntsville, AL and Jill (Dan) Dreyer of Muscatine, IA; two brothers, Tim (Janet) Glotfelty of Victor, IA and Nathan (Marla) Glotfelty of Kellogg, IA; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michael passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Michael always enjoyed helping people so he was an organ donor following his death. He was 50 years of age and he was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Mark Glotfelty.
