Funeral service for Hailey M. Kruse, 12, Williamsburg, was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 7, at the First Presbyterian Church, Williamsburg. She died Thursday, June 30, 2016, along with her mother, Marilyn Coon, in a motor vehicle accident.

The Rev. Dan Jessop officiated at the service.

Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Williamsburg.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Hailey Mae Kruse was born Feb. 22, 2004, in Iowa City, the daughter of Marilyn Kruse and Michael Childers. She was a student at the Williamsburg schools, just finishing sixth grade. She enjoyed fishing, music, watching movies and riding her bike. She also played softball at Parnell.

Kruse is survived by her step-father, James Coon, Marengo; her father, Michael Childers, Amana; one brother, Bailey; two step-brothers, Theo-Caine and Quinten Coon, Williamsburg; one sister, Lana; two step-sisters, Danielle and Cheyenne Coon, Williamsburg; her grandparents, Richard and Mary Weldon Kruse, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Kruse Coon, and her paternal grandparents.
