Obituary of Britney Hudson

Britney J. Hudson, of Riverside, went to visit the Lord on June 7, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, following a 2 year battle with cancer.

Britney Jean Hudson was born December 20, 1988, in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of Teresa Holderness and Ray Hudson. Britney was raised in South English, IA, and attended English Valley Schools and Kirkwood Community College. Most recently, Britney worked at Subway in Riverside, IA, and for It Works!

Britney was very outgoing. She enjoyed life. Britney’s friends and family meant the world to her. She is survived by her mom, Teresa (Gary) Young, her birth father, Ray Hudson; her Dad, John Holeton; Siblings, Dustin (Erica) Hudson, Brandon Hudson, Ella Young, Angel (Chris) Hunziker, Mike (Abie) Holeton, Chevy (Leanna) Holeton, and Arron (Ayla) Holeton; Grandmother, Barbara Holderness; Nieces and nephews, Lucas, Gracie, Severin, Kaylyn and Kia; Britney was preceded in death by her Grandfathers, Louis Holdnerness and Vernon Hudson, and grandmother, Lorna Martin.

A celebration of Life, and potluck lunch and get together will be held at from 1-6 pm, June 12, 2016, at the Kalona Park. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Britney’s Family.

Britney’s contagious laugh and smile will be greatly missed.
