Funeral Mass for Vivian M. Becker, 74, Williamsburg, was held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 17, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Oxford. She died Monday, June 13, 2016, at Marengo Memorial Hospital.

The Rev. Edmund Dunn officiated at the service.
A memorial fund has been established.

Vivian Marie Becker was born Dec. 26, 1941, in Williamsburg, the daughter of Samuel and Pauline Hoffey Swain. She graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1960.

She married Fred Becker June 9, 1960, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Williamsburg. She owned Maple Tree Corner Antiques for 25 years and also did wallpapering and seamstress work. She also assisted her husband with his business, Becker’s Remodeling.

She was a Girl Scout leader and a member of St. Mary’s Altar and Rosary Society in Williamsburg for 25 years. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, “Words with Friends” with family members, collecting antiques and dolls and attending flea markets. She enjoyed talking with customers and meeting new people.

Becker is survived by her husband, Fred; her children, Sherri (Bill) Cunningham, Clinton; Sandy (Kevin) Kruger and Connie (Bryant) Becker, all Minneola, Fla.; Julie (Scott) Ollendick, Lenexa, Kan.; John (Mary) Becker, Minden, La., and Douglas Becker, Davenport; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and two sisters, Verna Atkins, Cedar Rapids, and Mabel Elaine Moody, Tulsa, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Eugene Swain, who died in World War II.
