Williamsburg- Lillian Emma Hopp was born on February 4, 1926 near Williamsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Minnie (Folkmann) Maas.
She attended St. Paul Lutheran School in Williamsburg.

Lillian was united in marriage to Earl Herman Hopp on September 25, 1948 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg.

She was a homemaker, worked at Best Western as a head house keeper for a number of years and also worked various other jobs in the community. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her granddaughters and family.

Lillian passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 90 years.

She is survived by her three children: Gary (Barb)Hopp, Randy (Marcia) Hopp and Carolyn Hopp all of Williamsburg; two granddaughters: Haley Hopp of Williamsburg and Ashley (Brad) Peterson of Cedar Rapids and a sister: Luverna Kleinmeyer of Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, Gilbert and Harold, and one sister: Lucille Jones.

Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 am Monday, May 2, 2016 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. Memorials are for St. Paul Lutheran Church.
