Illness While in West.Mrs. Fannie Barnes is in receipt of a paper from Cedro Wolley, Wash., announcing the death of Charles Albert Cartwright, son of Charles Cartwright, a pioneer of Johnson county. The deceased was born in Iowa City, May 19, 1850. When he was twenty-two years of age he moved to Marengo where he has since lived. A few weeks ago he went west to visit his sister, Mrs. S.J. Thompson. There he sickened and died of typhoid fever.
He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: John T., of Tiler, Idaho; Jesse E. of Tanana, Alaska; Mrs. S. J. Thompson, of Cedro Wolley; Mrs. Etta M. Coxe of North English, Iowa; and Emma Cartwright of Marengo. He was converted at the age of twenty-four and joined the M.E. church where he lived a consistent life and died in the full faith of his Saviour December 10th.
