Denver Bryce Danels, 74, died Jan. 3, 2016. A memorial service will be held in the summer and will be announced when finalized.

Denver Bryce Daniels was born March 27, 1941, at Ladora, the son of Clement Harrison Daniels and Margaret Neola Shaull Daniels. He graduated from HLV High School, Victor, in 1959. He graduated from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, in 1964, with a bachelor of business administration (accounting) degree.

After college, he worked in southern California in the aviation industry. In 1966, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served his country for two years at Fort Sheridan, Ill., as a chaplain’s assistant.

He married Sheryl Roseann Pauley, Vinton, June 5, 1970. They divorced in 1997. The couple had two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Cochrane, Topeka, Kan., and Jane Katherine Anabe, Pittsburgh, Penn.

He graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, Calif., in 1975 with a master of divinity degree and was ordained as a Presbyterian minister. He served churches in Rowley, Iowa, and Ironwood, Mich.

He was a genealogy enthusiast. He traced his family roots from Europe to Vermont to Ohio to Iowa County, Iowa. He helped write two books concerning his family history. He was proud of his nuclear family and was thankful for his lineage.

Daniels is survived by his former wife, Sheryl, and their daughters and families, Elizabeth (Nathan) and their daughter Adelaide Cochrane; Jane (Joaquin) and their children Isaac, Irene and Ian Anabe; one sister, Cherie (Richard) Heishman, Greenville, S.C., and daughter Marcia (Mark) Weaver: one brother, Dr.Timothy Daniels, Storm Lake, and children Carrie (Jon) Dunnette, Kimberly (Jon) Thorson, Benjamin (Anne) Daniels and Margaret (Nathan) Porter.
