Ron Lee Sherman, age 58, of Amana, Iowa, died at his home, Thursday, December 10, 2015. Memorial Services: 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 14, 2015, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, Iowa, with Leah Watkins officiating. Friends may visit with the family 4 to 7 P.M., Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo.

Memorials may be contributed to the Amana Sportsman Club, or an educational fund for Jacob Sherman.

Ron is survived by his wife Linda; a son Jacob Sherman of Cedar Rapids; parents Lyle and Ruby [Trimpe] Sherman of Amana; a sister Lynda (Matt) O’Brien of Tukwilla, WA; a brother Doug (Jaime) of Iowa City; other children Nathan VonLienen of Marengo, Brittney (Reggie) Musack of Marengo and Heather (Travis) Wilming of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren Emma and Aubry VonLienen, James and Hunter Musack, and Olivia and Easton Wilming.

Ron was born May 11, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Lyle and Ruby Sherman.

He graduated from the Amana High School in 1975.

He married Linda VonLienen April 10, 2009.

Ron had a very strong work ethic and was a supervisor at Wendler Construction. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid outdoors man. He was a fabulous husband, father and story teller. He especially loved spending time with his family, the children and grandchildren.
