Janet A. Arduser, 70, of Ladora, passed away on November 22, 2015, at the Rose Haven Care Center in Marengo.

Services will be held at a later date. The Smith Funeral Home of Victor is handling arrangements.

Janet was born on August 31, 1945, to Howard and Eva Meyer Young in San Francisco, California. At the age of five, she moved with her family to Grinnell, Iowa. She graduated from Grinnell High School with the class of 1963.

On February 15, 1964, she was married to Richard Arduser and to his union was born one son and one daughter. The couple resided in Ladora and Janet was a homemaker, as well as the City Clerk for Ladora for many years. Most recently she worked in customer relations for the Tanger Outlet Mall in Williamsburg.

She enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, gardening, canning, spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with her husband to the west coast. She was a long time member of the Eastern Star and served a term as the Worthy Matron.

Janet will be missed by her husband, Richard Arduser of 51 years, of Ladora; one son, Mark (Kimberly) Arduser of Iowa City; one granddaughter, Ashley Kellenberger of Iowa City; and two grandsons, Lucas and Andrew Kellenberger, both of Iowa City.

She is preceded in death by parents; two brothers; and her daughter, Marcia Kellenberger.
