Luella Mae (Dellamuth) Morse, 84, of Western, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at Linn Manor Care Center, Marion, from complications due to cancer. Services: 1 p.m.Sunday, Oct. 18, at Hope Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, conducted by the Rev. Dan Clark-Bridges.

Family will greet friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Graveside service: Western Cemetery, Western.

Luella is survived by her three children, Allen (Diann) Morse of Covington, Sandra Morse of Tipton and Glenda (Mark Exe) Morse of Whittier; four granddaughters, Joslyn of Florida, Adriann (Mike) Hebert of Palo, Shannon of Cedar Rapids and Falen (Tom Micka) Morse of North Liberty; three greatgrandchildren, Shayla, Milo and Maizie; two brothers, Glenn and Larry (Pat) Dellamuth, both of Williamsburg; brother-inlaw, Regis Meskimen of Shueyville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Luella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; sister, Lucille Meskimen; sistersin-law, Velma Rosendahl, Pat Morse, Irma Dellamuth and Darlene Connor; and brothers-in-law, Richard Rosendahl and Ralph Morse.

Luella was born June 6, 1931, in Marengo, Iowa, the daughter of Marvin and Elsie (Rotter) Dellamuth.

She married John H. Morse on July 29, 1950, in Cedar Rapids. Luella attended a country school and graduated from Marengo High School in 1949. She was a cook at the College Community school district for 12 years, followed by being a head cook at Prairie High School for 15 years.

Luella enjoyed music, dancing, traveling, flowers, gardening, canning, cooking, baking and spending time and socializing with family and friends. She mostly enjoyed attending the school activities and sports of her grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Luella had a beautiful smile and loved to laugh.

She loved the great outdoors and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Luella will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
