Caroline Geis, 93, of Victor, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Rose Haven Care Center in Marengo

A funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 1, 2015, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Victor

Visitation will be held at 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 1, 2015, at the Church.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Victor.

Memorials may be directed to St. Bridget Catholic Church or St. Jude's Children's Hospital and sent in care to the Smith Funeral Home in Victor.

Caroline was born on June 25, 1922, in Victor, the daughter of John and Blanche Dusterhoft Geis. She was raised in Victor and graduated from St. John's High School.

She continued her education and earned her BA from Mt. Mercy College in Cedar Rapids.

After earning her degree, Caroline moved back to Victor and was employed by the Victor Cooperative Phone Company for 26 years and retired in 1984.

Caroline enjoyed traveling after her retirement and was an avid fan of Iowa Hawkeyes basketball and cheering on the HLV Warriors. She had been a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church in Victor for 93 years

Those left to cherish her memory are her nieces, Susan McKown of Denver, Colorado; Mary (Dan) Jennings of Long Grove, Iowa; nephews, Thomas (Linda) Olds of Denver, Colorado; John (Denice) Olds of Clive; Christopher (Lynn) Olds of Davenport and six great-nieces.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, one Virginia Olds.
