Madonna "Marvine" Donohoe, 79, died peacefully Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Lantern Park Care Center, Coralville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, July 10, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church,

with the Very Rev. Rudolph Juarez officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery in Holbrook. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City, where a rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mercy Hospital Foundation.

Marvine was born April 7, 1936, in Marengo, the daughter of James and Laura Griffin Donohoe. In 1948, the family moved from Holbrook to Iowa City. Marvine graduated from St. Patrick's High School.

Marvine was employed as bookkeeper for Smith Moreland, retiring in 1985. After retiring, she presented show homes on John Moreland and Mike Jensen's behalf.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Church.

Hobbies included watching every Iowa Hawkeye and Notre Dame football game. Imagine that! She also enjoyed peaceful time at the Iowa City airport watching the planes take off and loved reading a book at City Park.

Marvine is survived by two sisters, Victorine Malloy of Parnell and Roseanne (Robert) Russell of Eugene, Ore.; nieces, Alice Albrecht-Harr (Jeff) of Coralville and Kathy Ellyson (Greg) of Iowa City; nephews, Jim Albrecht (Tracy) of Coralville and Sean Malloy of Rochester, Minn.; great- and great-great-nieces and nephews; and many friends.
