Angela Hanchett, 50

Celebration of life service for Angela C. Hanchett, 50, Kinross, was held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, at Powell Funeral Home, North English. She died April 27, 2014, at her home.

The Rev. Dirk Alspach officiated at the service.

Burial will be held at a later date.

A memorial fund has been established.

Angela Claireen Hanchett was born Jan. 26, 1964, in Oskaloosa, the daughter of Gary and Connie Hanchett. She grew up in the Deep River area and graduated from DR-M High School in 1982.

She married Randy Smith July 30, 1982, in Oskaloosa. They later divorced. They had two daughters, Alisha and Amanda.

She received her nursing degree from Kirkwood Community College. She worked as a registered nurse and office manager at the North English Family Practice for 19 years.

She enjoyed working with plants and lambs, riding her Harley, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.

Angie will be greatly missed. She was loved by her family and friends and will forever be in our hearts.

Hanchett is survived by her fiance, Paul Duello and his children, Kinross; her daughters, Alisha (Quinten) Tompkins, Chicago, Ill., and Amanda (Chad) McDonnell, Omaha, Neb.; her parents, Gary and Connie Hanchett, Deep River; one brother, Craig (Jeannette) Hanchett, Oskaloosa; two sisters, Renee (Dave) Wilhite, Millersburg, and Rita (Dirk) Alspach, Sigourney; 11 nieces and nephews; a great-niece; a great-nephew; her grandmother, Doris Hanchett, Sigourney; many aunts and uncles and her cocker spaniel, “Wilbur.”
