THERESA E. RINEHART

Theresa E. Rinehart, 92, of Victor died on Saturday, Feb. 11, 1989, at Brookhaven Nursing Home in Brooklyn.

She was the daughter of Christian and Rosena Weisser Hartmann, and was born October 15, 1896, near Marengo, Iowa. She received her education in rural school near Marengo and later graduated from the National Bible College in Des Moines. She worked as a social worker in Des Moines and was also an assistant at the Riverside Community House.

On September 29, 1926, she was married to Robert L. Rinehart. They farmed south of Victor until retiring in 1969 and moving to Victor.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Victor and a charter member of the W.S.C.S., now the United Methodist Women.

She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Stoker of Guernsey, Ia.; two sons, Robert D. Rinehart and Raymond G. Rinehart of Victor; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lenora Moyle of Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Paul and Frank George Hartmann, Sr.

Funeral Services were at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the McAninch-Fremming Funeral Home in Victor with the Rev. James Schutter, pastor of the Victor United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Gerald Klaus, pastor of the Church of the Brethren of Brooklyn, officiating. Organist was Mrs. Jane Alexander and Pall Bearers were Frank George Hartmann, Jr., Matthew Ogan, Kevin Rinehart, Mark Rinehart, Robert Steuber, and David Stoker.
