CHELSEA – Lucille Helen (Frericks) Wauters, 93, Chelsea, passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Carrington Place in Toledo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 14, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Belle Plaine with the Rev. Michael Mescher, Celebrant, assisted by Deacon Joe Behounek. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Victor.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine where there will be a Rosary at 7 p.m.

Organist is Tracy Novak. Vocalist is Nick Novak. Lector is Tom Overman.

Pallbearers are Lance Wauters, Jason Overman, Jared Overman, Dusty Overman, Ryan Ridout and Ian Hoffman.

Gift bearers are her granddaughters.

Lucille was born on Aug. 10, 1920, in Geneva, IA, the daughter of Thomas and Matie (Spieker) Frericks.

On Sept. 18, 1946, she was united in marriage to Morris Albert Wauters at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Lucille was a farm wife and enjoyed baking, gardening, playing cards, sewing and playing bingo. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Vining, where she participated in the Altar and Rosary Society. She later joined St. Michael’s in Belle Plaine.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; daughter, Marcia; one great-granddaughter, Taylor Wauters; two sisters, Alma Jensen and Esther Slate; and three brothers, Henry, Jerry, and Thomas.

Survivors include her children, Ronald Wauters, Chelsea, Marilyn (Tom) Overman, Montezuma, and James (Dianne) Wauters, Elberon; grandchildren; Lance (Tracy) Wauters, Jason (Jessica) Overman, Nessa Wauters, Jared (Courtney) Overman, Laura (Ryan) Ridout, Dustin (Leah) Overman and Sarah (Ian) Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Adam and Layne Wauters, Mason and Dylan Overman, Isabel and Aiden Doria, Paige and Cecilia Jergens, Rylee and Scout Ridout, Bodhi and Mavryk Overman, Cooper, Reece, Gavin and Talen Hoffman; sisters-in-law, Merle Frericks, Margaret A. Wauters, Evelyn Wauters and Margaret M. Wauters.
