Williamsburgh Journal, Williamsburgh (Iowa Co.), Iowa, 25 May 1888, p2.

DIED:--At his late residence three miles north of Williamsburgh, May 17, 1888, Mr. TERRENCE KEEGAN, aged about 60 years.

Mr. Keegan came from Ireland in 1848, and has lived in this community since 1854. He was an industrious citizen, well and favorably known by a host of friends. He leaves a widow and several grown up children who now mourn the loss of husband and father. He was a member of the Catholic church at Marengo.

Another home has been darkened and filled with sorrow that sympathy cannot wholly efface and tears cannot remove, but there is an everlasting hope existing in the bosoms of his sorrowing companion and children sufficient even in this sad crisis to allay their grief. A hope builded upon a faith that whispers in the dark hour of trial, that when their earthly pilgrimage is done there will be over on the other side on anxious to welcome them home.
