Celebration of life service for Paul J. McDaniels, 47, Williamsburg, was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Williamsburg. He died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at his home.

Paul James McDaniels was born March 31, 1966, in Gardner, Kan., the son of Paul Dean and Donna Lee (Horn) McDaniels. He graduated from Wellsville High School, Wellsville, Kan.

He married Donna Stambaugh and later divorced.

He married Shawntell Renea Pollick in Centerville, Kan., in 2003. He lived in Kansas most of his life where he owned and operated All City Carpet for 17 years before moving to Williamsburg in 2011.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, watching football with his boys on Sundays and spending time with family and friends.

McDaniels is survived by his wife, Renea, Williamsburg; four sons, Ellis McDaniels, Warrensburg, Mo.; Trevor McDaniels, Williamsburg; Zachary McDaniels, Kansas City, Kan., and James McDaniels, Williamsburg; two stepdaughters, Kathleene Cardinal, Leavenworth, Kan., and Samantha Casteel, Overland Park, Kan.; a stepson, Mitchell Huffman, Wellsville, Kan.; three grandsons, Weston and Marshall Cardinal and Sean Casteel; his father, Paul, Ottowa, Kan.; his stepmother, Donna McDaniels; a sister, Debbie Hensley, both Wellsville, Kan., and one brother, David Wayne McDaniels, Blue Springs, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
