Harold J. Kennedy,65,
of 3002 Yorkshire Dr. NE, died
Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, in Mercy
Medical Center after a short
illness. Services: 10 a.m.
Wednesday, Immaculate Con-
ception Catholic Church, by
the Rev. Karl Glovik. Burial:
Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8
p.m. today at Stewart Funeral
Home, where a rosary begins
at 7 p.m.

Survivors include his wife,
Judy; his mother, Mary of
Cedar Rapids; a son, Anthony
Carter and wife Heather of
Cedar Rapids; a daugh-
ter, Laura Crance and hus-
band Vernon and children,
James and Ashley, all of Colo-
rado Springs, Colo.; a brother,
Donald Kennedy of Mokena,
Ill.; and six sisters, Mary Lou-
ise McGuire of Cedar Rapids,
Kathleen Slocum of Dubuque,
Phyllis Courtney of Cedar Rap-
ids, Marilyn Kolden of Cedar
Rapids, Patricia Parks of Todd-
ville and Carol Peterson of
Gilbert.

Harold was born Jan. 30,
1935, in Iowa City, the son of
Raymond and Mary Leahy
Kennedy. He graduated from
Roosevelt High School in 1955.
He worked for Collins Radio in
shipping from 1959 to 1992,
when he retired. He married
Judy Johnston on Oct. 18, 1986.
He was a member of Immacu-
late Conception Catholic
Church, IBEW Local 1362 and
Cedar Rapids Corvette Club.
Harold was also proud to be
an Eagle Scout father.
