Raymond Schulte, 58

Funeral service for Raymond M. Schulte, 58, Marengo, was held at 10 a.m. Sept. 4, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Norway. He died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, in Des Moines.

The Rev. Craig Steimmel officiated at the service.

Burial was in St. Michael’s Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.

Raymond M. Schulte was born Feb. 16, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Ray and Barbara Schulte.

He married Donna Traut Oct. 10, 1992. He worked at Midland Forge and was a truck driver.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards and pool, watching sports and raising animals.

Schulte is survived by his wife; his children, Kent and Jodi, Scott, Renee, Ashley, Brock and Derek; seven grandchildren; his mother; his siblings, John and Linda, Deb and Leland Wink, Connie and Gary Deal, Mark and Lori, Lisa and Tim Kilpatrick, Pam and Todd Beatty and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and one daughter, Melinda.
