Ardis Bunn, 83

Ardis Bunn, formerly of Broolyn, Victor and Marengo, died Friday, April 26, 2013, at the Keystone Nursing Care Center, Keystone.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ardis Bunn was born Jan. 21, 1930, in Denison, the son of Louis and Gladys Johnston Wright. She was raised and attended school in Belle Plaine.

She married Noble Bunn June 5, 1946, in Des Moines. The couple lived in Brooklyn for a short time before moving to Victor in 1952. After the death of her husband, she moved to Marengo in 2005. She worked at the Flomar restaurant in Brooklyn and then worked 23 years at the Victorian Inn, Victor, before retiring in 1989.

The couple loved to travel from coast to coast and she had made two trips to Hawaii. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking for friends and at various events in the area.

Bunn is survived by her sons, Larry and Shirley Bunn, Cedar Rapids, and Richard Bunn, Victor; daughters, Linda Schmidt, Williamsburg,and Megen Bunn, Des Moines; grandchildren, Gary Bunn Jr. and Laura Vannetti, Las Vegas, Nev.; Andre and Bob Holsomback, Davenport, and Katie Bunn, Des Moines; great-grandchildren, Anna, Noble and Jaden Bunn and Alice and Celeste Conti, and several step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, in 2003; her parents; three sons, David, Gary and Kenneth, who died in infancy, and two brothers, Charles and Donald Wright.
