North English Mary Ann Wilkens, age 75, died on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or services.

Mary Ann Wilkens was born on July 13, 1937 near Richland, Iowa, a daughter of Claude and Viola Hobbs Thompson. She worked many years as a nurses aid and at Casey’s in North English.

She is survived by a son Brian Patterson of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; three grandchildren; a sister Peggy Miller of North English; and a brother Tom Thompson of Keota, Iowa.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Leona Hudson and a brother Ed Thompson.
