Robert Lee Yuza, 63, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center. Celebration of Life services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Private family inurnment will be in Czech National Cemetery at a later date. Following the Celebration, there will be a gathering at Sykora’s Bakery in honor of Bob.

Robert was born March 6, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, the son of John Lester and Lorraine Anne (Blazek) Yuza. He graduated from Jefferson High School. He married Josephine Burkart on July 24, 1993. Bob worked for many years at Williamsburg Manufacturing until his retirement. Bob enjoyed boating, genealogy, woodworking, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.

Bob is survived by his wife Josephine; his children, Charlotte (Ben) Yuza, Angela Yuza, Laura (Rob) Shearer, Marcie (Todd) Reckinger, Stephanie Yuza, Psalms Bryan, and Sarah Bryan; 12 grandchildren, Ashely (Julio) Gomez, Aurora (Bob) Inman, Rachelanne Yuza, Jessica (Landon) Ried, Adam Burkart, Justina Cook, Amber Cook, Samantha Reckinger, Melya Bounds, Kyla Yuza, Megan Shearer, and Emma Shearer; four great-grandchildren, Leanna, Aiden, Ethan, and Dwayne, as well as two more on the way; a sister, Carol (Dennis) Sindelar of Cedar Rapids; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, John Wesley Yuza.
