Kathleen Ann Jones was born Oct. 27, 1922, the sixth of eight children, at home in Williamsburg, the daughter of Osborne E. and Honora Dunn Jones. She graduated from Williamsburg Public School in 1940 and attended Clarke University, Dubuque, for two years. She retired from Collins Radio Company and the Cedar Rapids Community School Board office.

She cared for her parents. She enjoyed her family in all celebrations and activities. Genealogy was a life interest, resulting in books with families traced back, beginning with great-grandparents arriving in the United States. She was proud of the town of Williamsburg being named after her great-grandparents, Ann and Richard Williams.

She volunteered for many years, enjoyed crafts, music and knitted 35 baby ponchos and sweaters. She also enjoyed touring many foreign countries, always with camera in hand.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Mary Anne Nelson and the oncology department, Mercy-Cedar Rapids Hall Perrine Center, where memorials may be directed.

Jones is survived by two sisters, Charlotte and Michael Mack, Waterloo, and Honore Steimel, Charles City; one sister-in-law, Kathryn Belger Jones, Williamsburg; 22 nieces and nephews and many great-grand-nieces and -nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Willard D. Jones, R. Winston Jones, Harold E. Jones and J. Russell Jones; one sister, Margaret Wellman, and two nephews.
