Mads Thoneson Dead

Troy Soldier Dies at Sea.

Word was received here this week that Mads Thoneson died at sea on Oct. 4th while on the way to France. The body was carried to the end of the journey and buried in foreign soil.

Mads was well known in this locality; he worked for Charles Romberg on Rural 3 for five years and was well like. He left here last July with the select-men for Camp Pike, but pneumonia claimed him as a victim before he reached his foreign destination.

The soldier's parents reside in Virginia.
