Mr. John Morrison, died at his late residence in Dayton township, Tuesday morning Oct. 18, 1887. Rev. Stewart of this city conducts the funeral services this (Thursday) afternoon at the U.B. church three miles west of Millersburg. Mr. Morrison was one of the early settlers in Iowa, one of the oldest Masons in the county, and a man of ability, up right and straightforward in all his dealings he won the universal esteem and confidence of his neighbors and friends. A number of the Masons from this city attended the funeral to-day.
