Helen M. Hall was born on December 12, 1929, near Thornburg, IA, the daughter of Roy Albert and Winnie Margaret (Shaull) Taylor. The family lived a short time near Keswick before moving to Millersburg. Helen graduated from Millersburg High School in 1948 and attended Paris Academy of Beauty School in Cedar Rapids. She was united in marriage to Earle L. Hall on October 29, 1950, in Millersburg. Helen was an member of the Millersburg United Methodist Church and served as a MYF leader for many years. She was active in the community and was a member of the Millersburg Commercial Club and the Millersburg Horse and Pony Association. She liked to ride horses and had a green thumb with her plants and flowers. She and Earle enjoyed traveling and had visited almost all the states. Helen died suddenly at her home in Millersburg on Saturday, July 3, 2010. is survived by her husband Earle, a son Loren (Sally) Hall of Millersburg and a daughter Beth Hall-Brecht of North English; 6 grandchildren: Andrea (Tim) Cerwinske, Craig (Lisa) Hall, Eric (Brittney) Brecht, Roy Brecht, Tyler Brecht and Bruce Brecht; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister Norma Irene Taylor. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North English at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 8, 2010 with Pastor Edwin Jordan officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 7 PM on Wednesday, July 7th at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Millersburg Cemetery.
