MRS. MINNIE FANT DIED SUNDAY AT HER WMSBURG HOME

Mrs. Minnie K. Fant, 74, passed away at 8:00 o’clock Sunday morning, Jan. 30, at her home in Williamsburg. She had been in failing health the past two years and was bedfast for about a month.

She was a daughter of John C. and Rebecca Lane Klever and was born Aug. 3, 1880, in Pilot Township.

Sept. 19, 1900, she married Axel Fant in the home of her parents. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary a few years ago.

Funeral services were conducted at Pilot Grove Church Tuesday afternoon, Feb 1. The Rev. John L. Alexander was in charge. Burial was in Pilot Grove cemetery. Jones Funeral Home of Williamsburg had charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were six grandsons: Myron and Harlan Heitman, Larry Wandling, Robert Hopp, Robert Fant and Wayne Imhoff.

Mrs. Brad Furman and Mrs. Jack Snoddy, accompanied by Viola Dubishar, provided the music.

Mrs. Fant is survived by her husband; three sons, Carl and John Fant of Williamsburg and Adolph Fant of Blairstown; five daughters, Mrs. Clarke Heitman, Williamsburg; Mrs. Clarence Wandling, Marengo; Mrs. Elmer Imhoff, Center Point; Mrs. Otto Hopp, Conroy and Mrs. Merritt Plagmann, Norway; 24 grandchildren; one brother, Lewis Klever, Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Hofmaster and Mrs. Charles Klein, Marengo.

A daughter, Mary, preceded her in death.
