Funeral Services Held At Two O'clock Friday At Methodist Church

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary C. Mumm were held at two o'clock Friday afternoon, December 20, at St. Paul's Methodist church with Rev. J.B. Pritchard conducting the service. Mrs. Myrl Stahl and Mrs. J. B. Pritchard sang the hymns with Mrs. E.C. Edwards playing the accompaniment. Interment was in Pilot Grove cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: William Dubishar, Elmer Stahl, Ralph Lortz, Bert yearian, O.E. Jones and Robert Elwood.

Mrs. Mumm was born in Pilot township on January 22, 1870, a daughter of Peter and Margaretta Klever. She lived on her father's farm until her marriage to Frank Mumm in 1897 at Millersburg and they lived on this farm until moving to Williamsburg in 1924. Mr. Mumm passed away at his Williamsburg home on September 5, 1932. Mrs. Mumm united with the Pilot Grove Methodist church at an early age. After moving to Williamsburg, she united with St. Paul's Methodist church. She had suffered an illness of two years duration and quietly passed away at 9:15 Tuesday evening, December 17, at the home of Mrs. Edna Wyman in whose home she had been cared for recently.

She numbers among her survivors, three sons, Arthur, Elvin and Ralph, all of Williamsburg; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Among those from out of town who attended the services were Mr. Henry Mumm and Mrs. Helen Stansberry of South English, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pope of North English and Mrs. George Dougherty and son of Cedar Rapids.
