Richard A. “Rick” Ledger, age 52 of Caledonia, Michigan, formerly of Marengo, died Friday, April 9, 2010 at his home of natural causes. Private Graveside services at Calvary Cemetery, Marengo, will be held at a later date. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is in charge of arrangements.

Richard is survived by his mother, Irene A. Ledger of Marengo and his sister Cathy Frimml of Belle Plaine, his paternal grandmother Elva Ledger of Cedar Rapids, and aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father and paternal grandfather.

Richard Allen Ledger was born May 11, 1957 in Landes de Bussac, France, the son of Ronald D. Ledger and Irene A. (Dede) Ledger. He received his education in the Iowa Valley schools, graduating from Iowa Valley High School in 1975. He attended Ferris University in Michigan for 4 years, receiving a degree in Business Administration. Richard served in the U.S. Army for 6 years, stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo and Fort Jackson, S.C. He also served in the U.S. Marine Reserves. He currently resided in Michigan, and worked in the food service industry.
