Rollin William "Bill" Hawkins was born March 15, 1949 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Robert and Lorna (Shaull) Hawkins. He received his education in the Iowa County schools and graduated from Iowa Valley High School in 1969. Bill was an auto mechanic and also farmed. Rollin William "Bill" Hawkins, age 60, passed away on Friday; January 1, 2010 at the Marengo Memorial Hospital. Those left to mourn his passing are: His son Blaine Hawkins (Kelsey) of Ladora; a daughter Melinda Hawkins (Sean) of Marengo; a sister Rosemary Noyes of Marengo and two brothers, Russ of Marengo and Roger (April) of Altoona. He was preceded in death by a brother Robert and a nephew Charles Noyes. May they rest in peace. Visitation: 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the funeral home. Internment will be at a later date. A memorial fund has been established.
